Is Cheney really so powerful and fearsome... that someone (a lawyer!) he shot in the face... someone that had to go through a life threatening heart attack caused by the accident... feels the need to say "sorry"...?
Sounds like a story straight out of a dictatorial regime.
Imagine Stalin (Hitler, Sadam) accidentally shooting one of his lackeys during a hunt... Then the poor guy goes: "My family and I are deeply sorry for all that our Great and Beloved Leader and His Family have had to go through this week."
